Ancient Japanese Nobori banners (1920-40)

Some banners from the collection offered here were exhibited at the Amsterdam Opera in the 1980s.  All of them were printed and/or painted by hand around 1930.

Every banner shows a family crest on the upper part, followed by paintings showing legendary and famous figures of Japanese history. The material is cotton (banners and loops). The formats vary from 500x70cm to 800x70cm. For the presentation in rooms with normal height the banners can be folded variably.

If you would like to buy one or more banners, please send an email with the banner ID numbers to nobori@tribute-gallery.com
